WALNUT / DIAMOND BAR JAIL:

Location:

  • 21695 Valley Blvd., Walnut, California 91789

  • Jail Phone: (626) 913-1715

  • Bail Bond Phone:

  • Ample parking is available.

Visiting Hours:

  • When arrested in the Walnut / Diamond Bar area, it is the Walnut jail that an inmate will be taken to. He or she will undergo the procedure known as booking and processing where fingerprints are recorded, photographs are taken and a background check is conducted. Once complete, bail will be set for those who are eligible as per the Los Angeles County Bail Schedule.

  • The Jail is not a large facility and cannot hold many inmates. It is designed to hold inmates for only 96 hours, and, if not released via bail bond or some other method, the inmate will likely be transferred to a larger facility such as Twin Towers Correctional Facility or Men’s Central Jail.

  • Male arrestees will be transported to the Los Angeles County Twin Towers Facility, and women will be transported to the Lynwood Jail or (CRDF).

  • Attorneys, bail bondsmen and members of the clergy may visit at any time for as long as they like.

  • IMPORTANT: After about 24 to 96 hours, the arrestee/inmate will be transferred to another jail. This transfer usually leads to a longer time in Jail, resulting in anywhere from 12-24 hours as additional paperwork is conducted. To avoid the extra jail time, we always recommend that the bail bond process should be initiated as soon as possible, so the defendant can avoid the transfer process altogether.

Visiting Procedures:

  • None.

Telephone Access & Mail:

  • During booking, the person being held in jail may be allowed to make three (3) free telephone calls. Once booked, an arrestee may make one collect telephone call from the Jail per day if the officer in charge allows. Because most inmates will be held at the Jail for no more than 96 hours, inmates should not be sent mail.

Personal Property:

  • Any time after arrest, an arrestee/inmate may authorize the release of his personal property to anyone unless that property has been entered into evidence. If property has been entered as evidence, it will not be available for release until after the criminal case is concluded.
