Visiting Hours:

  • You may visit an inmate at the Montebello Jail, which is operated by the Montebello Police Department, Monday through Sunday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Because the Montebello Jail's visiting hours and roster of inmates who are eligible for visits vary and are subject to change without notice, you should always call the Jail before visiting.

  • Inmates are permitted only one visit per day for 15 minutes. Up to two (2) adult may visit at one time. No children are allowed. Attorneys, clergymen and bail bondsmen may visit at any time for as long as they like.

  • Attorneys, bail bondsmen and members of the clergy may visit at any time for as long as they like.

  • IMPORTANT: After about 24 to 48 hours, the arrestee/inmate will be transferred to another jail. This transfer usually leads to a longer time in Jail, resulting in anywhere from 12-24 hours as additional paperwork is conducted. To avoid the extra jail time, we always recommend that the bail bond process should be initiated as soon as possible, so the defendant can avoid the transfer process altogether.
